Morristown Mechanical LLC

I would not recommend Morristown Mechanical to anyone. I rented from them for over a year. First off when I moved in they did not come and access the damages from the prior lessee and when I moved out they tried to keep my security deposit for damages done by the girl who lived there before me. Secondly, my roommate and I had several issues with the housing. They were all things that could be fixed and it was the leaser's job to fix them. However, after months of telling them about our problems, we had to withhold rent just to get them to come to the house.nnI just moved out last week and I was 3 days late moving out. Our landlord agreed that my security deposit could cover my last month of rent, however, 2 days after I moved out she gave me and my roommate a note saying we had to pay May and Junes's rent because we cost her a renter that was going to move in over the weekend. First off you cannot have someone move in the day after your prior lessees move out. You have to check the house, access damages, clean, and repair whatever needs repairing (for example if they had done that then they would have discovered that the air was not working). Basically my landlord lied to my face to try and get money from me. I am a young female college student and they must believe I am to naive to know my rights. I offered to prorate for the days I was there, but she refused it and told me she was going to sue. My lease ran out in December and it states in the lease that after a year is up the agreement automatically goes to a month to month agreement. However, my landlord said that it was my fault for not signing a new lease and that what I did was illegal when obviously was not because my lease states the opposite.nnBasically DO NOT RENT from Morristown Mechanical. They are lazy, irresponsible, and dishonest. Plus the houses are kinda cheap.
