Glenmore Mansion

Lovely morning at the Spring Garden Event. This 1 of my favorite Spring events here in the area. Was pleased to see it looked like it had grown a bit this year. I happily left with a car full of native plants. Enjoyed the craft & yard items. People are always very nice. If you haven't taken a tour of mansion you should. It is very informative if a docent accompanies you. Love the history. Appreciate those trying to keep this bit of history alive. Oh my gosh the strawberries I purchased were amazing. Delicious!

Beautiful but couldn't go in because of Covid

First time visiting the mansion and we enjoyed it very much. Loved the fact that each guide had a story to tell about the families that lived there. We really enjoyed the 3rd floor and the tower. Rich's explanations of how the house was built and showing us the intricacies of the joints and beams. Fascinating! I just love old homes like the Glenmore and hope to come back again, they are worth preserving for the future.

Always a wonderful Holiday outing. Even more special this season with the candlelight tours.
