Embassy Suites by Hilton Columbia Greystone

The continental breakfast was full and had a great variety of options. The omlet bar was a nice surprise!nThe rooms were spacious and had a mini-kitchenette that was helpful.nThe guest room could have been a tad cleaner as there were some crumbs left in the room from previous guests in various places in the sink as well as by the television.nThe lighting in the living room were very dim, like too dim to read a book.nThe common areas of the hotel were very clean and in great condition.

This is not the usual Embassy. I’ve stayed at this chain of hotels numerous times across the world. This hotel is disgusting. The smell of the rooms is like pure smoke. My daughter is an asthmatic and had an asthma attack from it. I kept a headache. The couches and chairs had stains. The floor was gross. The pool area hasn’t been cleaned, water was murky. I’ve never seen such a “nice” hotel in such bad shape. This honestly needs to be addressed.

The staff was amazing and very helpful!nBreakfast was alright.nThe room was extremely dusty and run down. Rust on the doors in the bathroom, mold all over the shower curtain, 2 outlets with no covers and the wallpaper falling off the walls.

Our room was not that clean. Looked as though a drink had been spilled on the tiled area and never mopped. The room clearly hadn't been vacuumed before our visit. The bathroom was clean and clean sheets. Our room was pet friendly and we had our dog, so we didnt request another room. We did notify the front desk and they did offer assistance. Definitely not our normal experience with Embassy Suites.

Hotel: 1nOutdated and dirty.nnCleanliness: 1nMy 11 year old was disgusted when we first walked in because there was dirt and a long hair on her bed. Our clean socks became dirty after we took our shoes off. I found a driver's license on the floor when looking around at how dirty it was.nnFriendliness: 2.nThey wouldn't let us check in because it was 3:57, not 4:00. Hotel staff was a mix of inconvenienced attitudes and one or two that were polite.nnAmenities 2.nThey offered a happy hour with a free Miller Light or cheap wine and some free peanuts or chex mix. This is why it's a 2.nBreakfast was such a joke. Look at the pics on their website and compare with this.
