This small, specialty zoo is home to multiple species of birds of prey. Most animals were rescued after sustaining injuries, and now are well cared for at this center. A well maintained path winds through woods, where one can glimpse hawks, eagles, vultures, owls, ravens, kestrel, and some more exotics, like the kookabura. A great gift shop filled with local artisans works, and a super polite staff made this an excellent stop for our family.

This is a beautiful walk through. We wore boots, because it has been raining so much. Everyone did their social distance and wore a mask if they were around others that were not part of their group. This is an outdoor activity. We had a great time, reading up on the different birds and just enjoying a day outside.

This place is the best to come to see and learn about many different species of bird. They do so much to help avian life with their rehabilitation services. They are a wealth of knowledge when it comes to learning about the many different species of bird housed there. I urge everyone to visit. They have a host of programs and events like the Eagle Experience and Homeschool days.

The raptor center is used by local counties animal control agencies when they come across injured birds. The Center will rehab the birds and then re-release them to the areas from which they came. These are wonderful people who are educated about the birds and who work very hard to ensure the safety and well being of the creatures. The birds are beautiful. If you are a member, you donate monthly and your admission is free. This is a wonderful place to educate yourself about birds of prey. Stop by and see the bald eagles! You won't regret your time here.

We have visited this place multiple times before and during covid. It's not crowded so you can keep your distance and everyone is wearing masks. It's a wonderful place to get close to nature and see wild birds up close. You can take pictures, record videos or even capture bird songs! Of all the birds, ravens/crows/magpies are the most active ones. We were lucky and got to the black vulture when he was jumping around! The bald eagles were really majestic. And the giant golden eagle had laid two eggs when we got there today!!!
