This is a neat place. My kids (7,9,11) and husband and I all had fun. Plenty of local critters like rehabbing deer, skunks, bunnies and possum, along with some exotic and unusual animals. The people caring for the animals all seemed very invested and eager to tell us about their buddies.
It was great, I wish I could've petted and held more of the animals. I loved the deer and baby piglets and goats. We really enjoyed it. We didn't spend as much time as I would have, little spaces , tight squeeze and big spring break crowd. Very neat! I would've liked to hold some of the snakes and other caged animals .
Love what they're doing at this place caring for all the animals, definitely worth stopping by with the little ones. All the staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Our 1 year old son loved it. The animals on site are way more than what you'd expect from an average petting zoo. Glad we could support their business and cause!
I wish I could give this place 0 stars. How the animals are being treated is nothing short of animal abuse. The cages are far too small. The animals look unhappy and this is not a family friendly place. I’ve never been to a petting zoo that had any problems but this place made me feel sick just to see. The fact that this location makes claims to be a rehab is sickening, petting zoos are wonderful and should be beneficial to the animal and people but this facility represents everything wrong with how we as a society treat animals. I do not recommend this place. If anything I recommend you call animal services on the facility.
This place is great! Everyone is friendly. It costs $12 for adults, 9 for kids, and kids 2 and under are free. We heard som amazing rescue stories, some sad ones, but the work everyone is doing is amazing. They take monetary donations, supplies for the animals are welcome and I believe towels and in-good -condition fleece blankets are accepted too.
