Nicoma Park Elementary School

Its wonderful!! Teachers actually care about their students, Great learning, and everything!nnBut, its packed when its like 3:00 or 3:10 pm..

My kids have learned so much here... We love Mrs. McDonald & Mrs. Tow my son comes home wanting to learn. Arianna misses being in Kindergarten... best Kindergarten teacher ever! ❤ufe0f teacher parent communication is top notch!

Had kids go through this elementary. The female principal/vice are the worst at having power issues. They use the local police to enforce their made up laws, instead of state laws. The police literally spend more time doing what the principal wants then making sure the kids are safe and traffic keeps flowing. Whoever designed the school needs their head examined. It was built to capacity and right away had to have pods put in to handle the enrollment. So much wasted space.nTraffic blocks the main road everyday school is in. Your not allowed to use the front doors half the time. You are required to use the side doors for entry and not the front door. The principal literally told me and my kid this. What is the point in spending thousands on front doors if the side doors are the main entrance? It does not make the school safer by locking the front doors and make kids walk across a bumper to bumper parking lot to enter. All students should be allowed to walk in the front door. After school starts, lock the doors and continue walking thru the office for entry.nOther then that, most of the teachers are good. As long as your a sheep following you'll have no issue, but if you have thoughts of your own and common sense, beware. They don't have common sense and makes you wonder why your allowing them to teach your kids, of course, that's why I'm moving out of the Nicoma Park district. Choctaw and NP combine at the high school but are different schools for elementary & intermediate. Several other grade schools available in the area, make a wise choice if moving into the area. I highly suggest not being in the NP school district unless your kid is 6th grade or higher.nPros: some good teachersnCons: a big list
