Mills Cleaners

Wow - what a terrible experience this cleaners was. As we were new to the area, I figured we would give Mills a try, as they are the closest dry cleaners to our house. Unfortunately, my experience can be surmised with only unfavorable words: rank incompetence and borderline dishonesty.nnFor starters, I am accustomed to dry cleaners that count your clothes, sort them into piles and ring up the charge before you leave the store. In this way, you have itemized costs up front, and can simply pick up the clothes when ready (or even have someone else pick them up). When the folks at Mills indicated that this was not necessary, that they would count the clothes after I left and bill accordingly, I thought it a bit strange, but I went with it.nnIt appears that this is a bait-and-switch tactic: while they quoted me $2.50 per shirt, it seemed perfectly reasonably - but when I went to pickup, they charged me $6.15 per shirt for all my polo shirts, which represented the majority of my clothes! As I brought my clothes in loose, the person who quoted me clearly saw the numerous polos in the pile I was carrying... but conveniently failed to mention the price difference. No wonder I saw so few completed clothes in the store, awaiting pickup! Repeat business is probably a rare thing at this cleaners; in spite of only a moderate-sized load, I paid the largest bill I've ever paid at a dry cleaner!nnOn top of it, the clothes looked absolutely terrible. Many of the starched shirts had major wrinkles in them, the laundered shirts had universally crushed collars and both suits had some sort of barely-removable white stains on them, which I have to assume was drops of starch. It took me an hour of scrubbing to make my suit reasonably presentable for a wedding I had to attend that weekend.nnOverall, this place needs a major turnaround (or ownership change) before I would ever consider returning. Please consider yourselves warned!

I really enjoy taking my clothes to Mills Cleaner, they are very friendly people and do a great job on your clothes. The prices are reasonalble and the Ladies work hard to please the customer.
