Great little hidden gem mining spot for kids. Founds tons of great rocks and fossils. Even found a tyrannosaurus rex tooth, my son was ecstatic. Great memories were made. The people were very nice and even told us about our finds
My husband and I were in gatlinburg Tennessee when we discovered this place. The places in Tennessee, yes had different sized buckets however they were expensive and over crowded. This little mining shop was absolutely amazing!!! They have one size bucket priced at $15 they also have fossil digging. However we didn't chose to do that. We got a large variety and big gems in the two buckets that we purchased. We will definitely be back for some more family fun on all of our trips.
This was a great little place to do some gem and gold mining. Everyone was super friendly and it was a good family activity
Hidden gem in King’s Mountain! My sons (7 & 4) who are all about rocks and digging really enjoyed sifting and sorting through their gem buckets. We even got fossil digs to bring home. (They offer time go buckets of the gem buckets too.) The owner was very nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. She took time to help us identify everything we found and tell us all about them. She answered all of the boys’ questions and showed them around. It is a small shop in the back of a pool store with an outdoor space in the back where the panning and digs take place. It was a great first time experience for my young children.
We had such a great time gem mining! It was so fun and practically in our ‘backyard’. The women , I wish I got her name, running it is very knowledgeable about gems, their properties and where they came from. Definitely a fun trip and I recommend checking it out!
