The Original Papa Nicks

Not a good pizza place. Dough is that super dense, and chewy type. Drowned the pizza in enough layers of cheese for 3 pizzas. So much cheese that it doesn't even melt all the way in the oven. Its ends up with a consistency as if someone glued cheese cubes together. Garlic knots are tough, chewy because they're not cooked through. Dough is still raw in the very middle of them. The outside of the knot is 'well done' presumably because they can't get the dough to cook through because its so dense.nnThe flavor is there though. Someone knows what the hell they're doing, but it will never work if the food isn't edible.

Great tasting pizza on our recent visit to the Asheville location although we were tempted to choose some other great selections on the menu! We didn’t know this location existed and were super excited we found it and will be BACK for sure! Highly recommend!

Hands down best pizza place in Asheville. Just got our takeout central delivery at the patton and it's even better (somehow) than it's been before. Absolutely stellar.

I don't know if it's the textbook great customer service or the perfectly balanced marinara or the delicious cheese or the spot on toppings (including fresh garlic!), the garlic rolls made in Heaven or the expertly baked crust that is best part about Papa Nick's, but I do know they have won over a loyal customer who is spreading the word every chance I get.
