Professional, friendly, and courteous, this place is a gem! Amy is a superb barber and can easily accommodate specific requests. It's refreshing to know barbershops like this are still around. Excellent service and a very comfortable atmosphere. Would highly recommend when in town.

A barbershop is supposed to be a place where you can getaway and relax. This spot is exactly that. From the conversations to the flexibility, there isn’t a better spot in town. Seth is the best barber I have ever had and is always making sure you feel and look better every time you walk out. They know you by name and it feels like an old friend when sitting in the chair. If you are on vacation and need a cut, wait till you come back to Asheville because no one cleans up the lines like this team.

My husband has incredibly thick hair with an unruly cowlick. AVL Barber and Bead is the only place with barbers who have been able to tame his hair. Amy Jo is his girl, but everyone he's seen has been great. If you want a specific barber, you definitely need to make an appointment in advance, but what do you expect when you're dealing with talent? We are relocating out of Asheville soon, and I can only hope we find another barber up to the challenge!

From basic to Complex - Seth is a Great Barber! at AB&B! I started going to Seth in Wilmington, NC and followed him around when he moved. I now head to Asheville Barber & Beard when I travel to Asheville and make sure to get an appointment with him. The guy does an amazing close straight razor shave, and can sculpt facial hair, and so a perfect fade. The dude is a CHAMP! I send all my bros there too. Hope to see him again soon.

This was my first experience with a barber shop. Before I had always gone to a local salon or stylist that didn't specialize in men's haircuts. This was by far the best haircut I have ever gotten. Jamie cut my hair and did an amazing job. I cannot express how excited I was leaving the place to be very proud of the cut I had just gotten. I am Knoxville, TN, and after my experience here with Asheville Barber and Beard, its safe to say that I will be driving 3 hours for my haircut from now on!
