CENTURY 21 Doris Hardy & Associates LLC

Using this company was the worst experience my family has ever gone through. Our realtor, Dana McLean, had no faith in my family in regards to our desired list price, that it would never appraise, and that we should have taken our first offer instead of countering. Dana’s professionalism was thrown out the window over a dispute of her unwilling to perform her realtor duties on the day we got our first and only offer because she was unable/unwilling to work with us during a personal situation of her’s.. keep in mind we are paying 6.5% for this lack of willingness to do her job. We had a 5 hour window to respond and she essentially said she could work with us after that window closed. Dana only utilizes one contractor and has minimal back-up resources when that contractor is busy, as was our case near the entire time we needed a contractor. We had to beg Dana, on more than a handful of occasions in a 2 month timeframe, to communicate with us. We were in the dark the entire time unless we begged her for information. I spoke to the broker, Doris Hardy, about our issues with Dana and was reassured we had ways out if needed. Turns out Doris worked the backend to keep Dana on the account without telling us; we found out closing day. I tried to relieve Dana from our account a few days prior to closing but Doris never returned any of my 3+ messages. We eventually closed on our house but had to check in with Dana days later just to be sure we were officially closed, as we never heard from her after paperwork was signed electronically. We never had any closure from this experience. Dana stole the two most exciting days of selling a home (the offer and the closing) because of her personal issues and unwillingness to communicate. Never would I recommend this company to anyone as they’re over priced, have poor customer service, and unless it’s what they want you’ll be met with resistance the entire way.
