Not a review exactly, just memories. I'm in my 60s now and grew up in this subdivision. We used to play inside/around the cabin, and ice skate at the pond across the street in winter. I'm glad to see both are still in place.
It wasn’t open for visitors but I explored the grounds surrounding the cabin and even without a tour guide I could imagine what life was like back when the cabin was built.
The Bacon Log Cabin is history in our Ballwin backyard. And every December it comes to life with its Christmas cookie and craft sale. The lady volunteers make the cookies, donate crafts and decorate the cabin giving shoppers a glimpse into life in the 1800's. Besides yummies for my tummy a treasure for my holiday decorations is added to. Mark your calendar for December 2020.
