I'm a big fan of Metro and mass transit in general, having ridden it for all of my 57 years. I've lived in St Louis for 20 years and I grew up in a large urban area elsewhere in the country. I certainly don't expect a perfect situation in terms of security and I believe that Metro is trying, but Metro needs to beef up the police presence at this and several other stations just to ensure that people understand that they should comport themselves in reasonable ways when other people are around.

The Delmar Metrolink station provides a convenient option for commuters looking to park and ride the train. The parking lot rarely gets full and is frequently filled with Loop concert-goers in the evenings. One can enter the train platforms either by cutting through the parking lot or by using the main entrance close to the bus stops.
