St Charles Police Department

A brought forth an issue to the St. Charles City Police Department and they handled the matter promptly and professionally; I am very grateful for this department. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to your profession. Your great work does not go unnoticed.

Literally just got done speaking to an officer about my car being broken into and rather than being sympathetic in a moment where I felt violated and uncertain the officer dispatched was rude and insulting. He was very curt and insisted I was an idiot for leaving the car unlocked, which I did not. I am extremely disappointed and angry that he decided to insinuate that I was somehow at fault for a crime that I was the victim of. Your officers need to learn how to have some basic human decency and empathy for the people they are there to help. Hope to God I am not in a situation where I have to rely on your officers again because they are seriously pathetic examples of how law enforcement officers should act.

I had a few questions to ask about an old case and when I called the guy was extremely helpful, understanding and nice. I felt nervous calling asking about this specific case from my childhood but he made me feel a lot better about it by being so understanding. He went out of his way to try and find the answers to my questions. I do not remember his name but he was very nice! Good work, it's much appreciated! I called the department around 11pm on August 8, 2017.

I made my first police report to Officer Erdmann. He was kind and helpful and he helped to solve my problem. Thank you OfficernJoanna Hebermehl

I have had great experience with both getting and renewing my ccw and also in the Citizens Academy. Great people who care about the community. These are the men and women who keep you safe, dont forget that.
