window down, my ID was ready, hands where he could clearly see I posed no threat to him. The registration was ready to go as well, but my insurance was on my phone so that wasn’t ready at the time the arresting officer approached my window. He asked what we were doing, and I explained to him that we were on the road trip and that we had been returning from the amusement park. He initially stated that I was pulled over for speeding (the ticket I received is a 45 mph in a 35 mph zone). I was completely compliant because he did get me for that. He asked for my ID, I handed it to him, and then he asked for my friends ID in the passenger seat. I questioned as to why he would need my friends ID because this was clearly a speeding violation traffic stop. From then on out things just got worse and worse with this officer. He was saying made up things about “Supreme Court law” and us having to comply simply because he is an officer of the law and such. He wouldn’t give a direct clear answer as to why. Wanting to avoid any trouble to my friend and me, I told my friend to give him his ID so things wouldn’t escalate any further and to keep us as safe as I could. He also questioned us MULTIPLE times if we were in possession of any drugs or firearms. I told him every single time he asked that we had neither in our possession (I don’t own any guns at all, and we both play college football, so we do not mess with drugs whatsoever). Before returning to his vehicle with both of our IDs, he asked if I had insurance. I explained it was on my phone and could pull it up real quick for him, and he said to do that. Before I could pull it up for him, he had returned to his vehicle to run our IDs. Within 10-15 minutes, another police vehicle pulls up behind all of us but I don’t think too much of it at first. I can see the arresting officer go back to the other patrol vehicle before returning to my truck again. When he comes back to my truck, I show him my insurance was good, then he almost immediately says that we need to step out of the vehicle because he wants to do a search on us and the truck. I understand my rights and have a basic knowledge of this kind of stuff, so I question him as to why this is happening and what reason he has to even search at all, since this is a SPEEDING VIOLATION traffic stop. The officer then tells me, oh you looked twitchy and you rubbed your nose, or something along those lines as his reason to search us, along with telling us that it was an “investigation” and what not. Again, I don’t want anything worse to happen to me or my friend, so I reluctantly get out so he can do whatever he needs to do. I know he isn’t allowed to be doing these things to us; but I am scared as to what he would try to do if we rejected him any further, and I knew I had nothing to hide so I hesitantly comply at this point. We both go around to the back of my truck, and I’m resting my arms up on the tailgate, my left hand resting on my right a little. Then the arresting officer comes behind me and grabs my left arm and aggressively says to me to get my hands up on the tailgate, even though they were already up there. He then pats both of us down, finding nothing of course. After this, he tells us to go over in the grass and sit down so they can search the truck. We both walk over and my friend is sitting, but I stand next to him, showing no signs of aggressive behavior towards him at all. He then uses intimidation yet again and makes me sit down for no reason at all. I just comply again so that the situation won’t end up worse for my friend or me. The officer that came in after the initial stop then pulls a K9 search dog from her vehicle and they let him sniff my truck. At this point I am very upset with what is going on, so I start calling out the arresting officer even more on what he was doing, and how it was completely wrong..
