We used the services of KIVFD twice during January 2020 - once for an ER transport and once for an in-home fall assist. Both services were performed professionally, courteously, and QUICKLY ! We thank Chief Thomas and his crew for the excellent care and efficiency. A First Class operation.
They are so nice and helpful. They just helped me get a stuck ring off my finger. They work extremely well as a team- one person got ice, one person held my hand down, someone else worked on getting the ring unstuck, and the others told jokes to try and distract me. Hopefully I won't be back hah but 10/10 recommend this place and these people. They are very friendly and willing to serve.
9 years ago on 11/16/10 they saved my life, I was hit by a drunk (uninsured driver) on rt 8 by the airport head on. They cut me out and got me to the awaiting helicopter by ambulance which was hell by the way. They pronounced me dead on the local news and I was flown to shock tram . Spent a week in icu and then again out in a ambulance to Kernan Rehabilitation center to learn how to walk after 7 multiply leg injuries and 8 hours of surgery. I am alive, still have my foot (for now) and Im disabled. I watched my 2 middle schoolers graduate, my daughter get married. I have my first grandbaby and all to the thanks of one man and the vokunteer fire dept. An awesome surgeon and my determination. Thank you I have never stopped by and done so myself. But i do bbn owe it all to you fine men who serve us here on Kent Island
