Elk Neck State Park, Nature Center

Very nice place to camp, close to the water, shore. We had a nice time walking around, my little daughter loved it.nWe had to leave a night b4 expected because it was forecast rain all night and most of the day on Sunday. I just didn't want to pick up and pack under rain. If it was raining during that Saturday, we were prepared for it, rain is part of camping, but when it's time to go, not much fun picking up wet tent and double work to unpack it again to dry it up another day...nBathroom and water access were very close too. Not happy with the firewood sold there, ready bundles were small and looked like scrap wood. Consumed very quick in the fire. So, when u buy, 5 plus tax or some fee, make sure u get the real fresh and hard firewood that last very long.nOver all, Vey nice olace, will go back again!

Small but really cute nature center with a play area for younger kids. The ranger on duty when we stopped by was really friendly and brought out animals for the kids to touch and learn about. Definitely worth a stop if you are at Elk Neck.

It's a very good place for fishing camping hiking and to see some bald eagles too

Great place to camp. Small beach nearby but lots of rocks and drift wood. Wear some water shoes.

Great activities for kids. Live animals (turtles and snakes), painting, puzzles, books and lots of other stuff to do. Great for mid-day heat or rainy days.
