Pollock Police Station

Hopefully this review makes it to the officer that helped me. I was traveling from South Florida to Oklahoma and on the way wanted to camp out at the Kisatchie national park. Unfortunately they had limited hours. One of your officers drove by and asked if I needed help. Most of my experiences with the police are not pleasant but this officer went out of his way to help. I can't thank you enough for your assistance. The camping was amazing and I hope to someday come back to this beautiful state and town. Thanks again.

My husband and I just moved to Pollock about 6 months ago. It is really beautiful with all the forest around. If you want a scenic drive there are many places for that. I would have given 5 stars however as a mother with two small children I was excited to find the park as nice and clean as it is AND with a walking trail but disappointed that there are no bathrooms available near by. Seriously?? A park for children and no bathroom??? I called town hall and sure enough no bathrooms. Please add this feature! I would greatly appreciate it!

I received a ticket for speeding while visiting Monroe LA for a bmx race with my family . I am not from LA and in Texas driving every quarter mile we do not have speed limit changes . I was also trying to tend to a crying infant while my husband slept from working night shift in the car. I ofcourse got pulled over and received a 250$ speeding ticket . When I call to pay the ticket or rather see about a payment arrangement bc this is offered In Texas over phone I spoke to a man I’m assuming an officer who answered finally after calling for days who was very rude and condescending . I said yes I need to pay a ticket he said okkkkkkkkk anddddd I need to pay a ticket but I don’t know how he said you have all the information in front of you money order or cashiers check . I cannot pay the 250$ speeding ticket in full he laughed an said then you would need to come to court and that’s for the judge to decide . I ofcourse called back to get the gentleman’s name and ofcourse no answer . I am not only annoyed because we traveled 5 hrs we pay money for hotel money for racing money at food chains money that I feel help LA community but I almost feel as if you receive these tickets to further help the LA economy . Texas works w you but La will not so now I have to drive another 5 hrs to the courthouse in hopes the judge works with me and 5 hrs back w an infant bc I feel Pollock just wants the money . I’m disgusted and will never visit LA again or the Monroe bike track and the courthouse and officers are who they have to thank i hope my 250$ was worth it bc when we visit we spend 1000$ or more . I hope the ma who answers the phone at the courthouse gets some training for communication and I hope anyone that visits seriously stares at the road for the constant changing speed limits bc they want to get you and they want / need your money and it’s apparent !!!!! Do not visit LA their economy is hurting and you can tell !
