Comfort Inn Near Casino

The room I was given not only had plumbing problems it was not cleaned from the previous guest. The beds was straighten with the same bedding from the previous guests, who enjoyed them. If it wasn't for the note the previous guests left stated that if you are reading this note the bedding hasn't been changed, that and the pen they used to write the note, I probably wouldn't have noticed it until later. When pulled back the sheets all kinds of food crumbs, hair, and stains where on the sheets and covers. I called the front desk to get more bedding all I was given was the sheets so spend thirty minutes changing the bedding for both beds. No one came to redo the bedding, was told because of social distancing. If this is REALLY, the case then the bedding should been change and disinfected, but it was not. Anyway we changed both beds and placed the sheets out side the door. The night stand still had trash from the last guess on them. Yes, I took pictures and called the front desk clerk within 5 minutes of checking into my room so she could see the condition of my room for herself. But was told she can't come in because of Covid19. REALLY? If this is so important then why wasnt the room I was given clean. I came before checking time and still was given a filthy and dirty room. The trash cans had no trash bags in them. Been to alot of Comfort suites this was the worst one.. I did take pictures for the manager/owner to see the condition of this hotel, which I showed her the next morning. All she could say was someone would be contacting me soon.

Comfort Inn has always been our go too hotel in Lake Charles, BUT .. this last visit was just okay. The room smelled like urine and when asked for extra towels, they said they didn't have enough! Hotel has really gone down. However the staff is super nice. Especially the ladies that work the breakfast. Very very nice and polite and attentive.

The room was good for price. We had to bring our own trash bags. Also, had to call front desk for plumbing issues.

The staff here are very nice, which is why I gave the place two stars instead of one. The Hotel needs updating, and the owners aren't putting any money into maintenance. As the pictures show.The rooms smell musty and like mold, which the disinfectant spray the housekeepers use doesn't cover up.nnThe breakfast leaves much to be desired. Which is understandible considering the owners aren't too concerned with how the place looks. Can't believe how the chairs look in the dining area. A total disrespect for customers.nnWon't be staying here again.

Sylvia at checkin was so nice and really helpful. After a long drive I felt like I had made it home. The room was ready, clean and comfortable.
