A very beautiful site, very somber and moving. If you are a history buff like me you have to come and see this amazing place! The POW Museum was still closed, it opens April 1, we did get to speak to the Park Ranger and she gave us some wonderful insights to the park! A definite must see!!

An awesome and sad place. Do a little research or watch a documentary on youtube before you come, it will give you a better prospective on the hallowed grounds which you will stand. Right across from the park exit you will see the sign for Andersonville Village across the road, worth a peek.

We loved the place. It is so live with the monuments and the cemetery. While visiting places like these, our children learn and understand how many lives were sacrificed for the freedom we enjoy today.

01/21/21nnNormally 5 star. But closed..nnWell, Well, Well. The government has the museum shut down. No social distance, no mask. LOCK DOWN NO VISITATION!!!nAll these federal workers sitting at home drawing salaries. But we did snoop & plunder on foot.nAlso we watched them remove & replace veteran headstones. Totally different, less efficient way here in America versus the way they perform in Africa and Europe. Only thing in common was the nylon string to insure proper alignment.

Beautiful quiet place for some reflection and thinking. Striking to see how small the compound really was. Was worth the drive off the interstate.
