Dekalb County Police South Precinct

I am proud to have this as my local police precinct. The police are heavily involved in community outreach. They provide a large modular room for community meetings. The officers are courteous and courageous.

BEWARE:Corrupt police officer whom required/ordered victim to delete voicemail evidence from cell phone and withheld pertinent information from the police report involving assault and domestic abuse. Hopeful that incident is investigated by internal affairs.

Officer Delmonte Harris drew the accident diagram completely wrong for an accident my car was involved in 3 months ago. He completely left out the ONLY left turning lane, listed the wrong highway name among other errors. His errors caused me harm because no one was charged with the accident when the other driver clearly should have been charged. And then he was totally unprofessional, curt, rude and impatient when trying to communicate with him at the scene of the accident. Now the at fault party driver insurance will not pay for my damages becautheir driver clearly lied about the design of the scene of the accident making his insurance company think there are 2 left turning lanes when there is ONLY 1, but Officer Delmonte “DQ” Harris left that lane off the diagram he drew because he clearly doesn’t like his job and did not care!!! Now I have called the police department at least a dozen times and even visited the department and spoke to Sgt. Sutton who advised the accident report would be modified and emailed to me over 2 weeks ago. I never received anything and have called at least another 3 times since then trying to reach him, I’ve grown exhausted and feel like they don’t care about law abiding citizens who only need something simple like drawing an accurate diagram of the road for a accident report. Looks like I’m going to take the hit for this one..... thanks sarcastically Officer DQ Harris!! So please pray that this officer is not dispatched to the scene of your accident anywhere in Dekalb County!!! Dealing with them has been a very painful and time consuming ordeal!!! I am totally disappointed and if Google allowed a score less than 1 star, that’s what they’d have!!! And the service there is very slow.

Very neat, clean, and accessible. Plenty of parking available. Staff is very courteous and professional.
