DeLand Police Department

I called the non emergency DeLand Police Department to have an officer come out and write up a police report.nI waited less than 15 minutes. Officer Mendoza was phenomenal dealing with the situation, she could not have handled it better. She very patiently put up with how difficult and anxious I was being. A sincere Thank you goes out to the DeLand PD ❢

Harassed simply for being in the area with a camera, taking pictures of abandoned police cars parked at a vacant lot across the street from the PD. A week later the cars were gone. Wonder what they were up to..

The DeLand Police Department has always served and protected me and my family for the 50yrs I have lived here as a life long resident. Even when I was in the wrong I was treated fairly in an appropriate and professional way. I love the DeLand PD. God bless our officers.

More training needed. No individual should die just because they are running from the police.
