It's an interesting place to stop if you're kayaking the 9 miles from Riverbend Park to Jonathan Dickenson Park. Definitely take the tour as the man's story is unique. Family friendly.
Took our kayaks and canoes and paddled to Trappers Nelson. It was a challenging task but worth it. Can only be visited by means of water transportation. Theres a tourist boat that goes there if you dont want to paddle. Scenic views to get there too.nnGreat picnic area and on weekends and holidays (I think) they offer free tours of the area.
Great adventure ... Adorable boat ride and really interesting piece of Florida historynPut it on your MUST DO list, especially when visitors come to town.
Always a cool place to stop when fishing the upper lox river in juliter. Sonething to see if visiting on vacation - love taking my fly fishing clients for a box lunch stop .
Enjoyed my visit and volunteer was very informative about the site.
