This museum brings out the history of Amelia Island and surrounding area. Currently being renovated Feb 2021, but staff and volunteers are busy putting engaging new content together.
Very neat museum. I would recommend going to the museum prior to visiting the rest of the island. Lots of information and history about the island.
I went bc the old jail located inside is supposed to be haunted but you know how that goes! 8 bucks for everyone. No special prices. Small and easy to get through. There is also a tour but my timing wasn't good to join thay.
Very interesting and informative. Especially good for first time visitors. They explain the history of Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach very well.
