Florida City Police Department

These people instead of helping the citizens they give nasty attitude and do not solve anything.

As a native Floridian, I am unnerved and embarrassed to know this police dept. exists. If I could give it 0 stars I would. The last thing they want is to spend any time helping out citizens, their only role is to push out tickets and arrests and make money. Please take this warning from a non-criminal, stay out of Florida City, don't visit, don't drive through it. I know you have to go through it to get to the Florida Keys (which is a gem!), drive slowly and carefully, stop at all YELLOW lights, keep your eyes open and your head down. Yes this sounds like advice to avoid criminals, it is! Good luck, and I'd say the same goes for the Homestead Police. My best advice to you, if you can get out of Florida, do it. I did, and I loved my place of birth. No more.

Terribly run department as well as the city. It is near impossible to reach anyone in their office and they don't return calls. Their email system rejects most unfamiliar email domains, including a government email address!!!! Awful, just awful.

Just saw the Video of your IDIOT cop! You know when a canine officer is shot the person who shot him is tried for murder! I think your officer needs the same punishment! I have worked with animals for over 20years, the dog was in no way displaying any type of aggression! And for your Officer to just walk away with there poor FAMILY MEMBER bleeding out on the sidewalk is inexcusable!!! I have made a choice not to have children but my dog is my child! Your cops need to go through an EXTENSIVE training course on dogs and I hope that officer was made to resign immediately!! Never thought I would have to be afraid of a cop!!!

Anyone who supports this Police department should go and watch the video of one of their finest slaughtering an innocent pet. Let's you understand why people shoot cops in the face on first instinct when given the chance.
