Hofman Properties LLC

I lived in this apartment building for 15 years before it was purchased by Hoffmann properties two years ago. I have not had very much interaction with the actual landlord, but I have with Justin, the property manager. He has always been professional, friendly and responsive. They have made a number of repairs to the apartment building which I very much appreciate. I recently moved from apartment number 2 to apartment number 1 as it was remodeled with new windows, floors, bathroom and I am happy with the move. They have been completely understanding about the fact that when they bought the building I already had three small dogs and a cat. I don’t plan on moving anytime soon.

My husband and I lived at FIFTY101 for over 8 years. We stayed so long because the building was safe, the rent was reasonable, the unit was large, and the property manager was easy to work with. Also, the maintenance staff and contractors that worked at the property were always very courteous and helpful. Over our years there we had a few repairs that needed to happen (older building, it’s to be expected occasionally), and Justin (property manager) was always prompt to address the issue and the maintenance staff was always friendly and efficient. We were sad to go (moved out of state) and would highly recommend the property to others.

I will truly miss my apartment with Hofman Properties.. I have been there for over 7 years decided to buy a house. Throughout my time staying in Hofman Properties Justin has always been a pleasure from start to end. Very reliable and very understanding. Anytime I needed maintenance done it was completed ASAP. If I had to rent again I would definitely contact Hofman Properties.. Thank you Justin for all that you do!! Keep being the good guy that your are.

Shortly after Hofman Properties purchased the office space I leased, there was quite a few major repairs that were not done by the prior owner that they immediate repaired. Then, unfortunately, there were two minor floods due to very old equipment, that they very quickly and efficiently replaced as well as cleaned up including new tile, new carpet, and some new paint. I am truly sad that my own business did not allow me to stay since they were such good custodians of the property. However, if you are looking for a good property manager check them out.

(Very long review) I’ve been renting through Hofman properties for over a year now (almost two years) after my first year, my lease became a month to month agreement. Randomly a couple of weeks ago, I received a letter in the mail, stating that my month to month lease would no longer be renewed, without any explanation, just asking me to be out by February 29th 2020. So, being confused because I wasn’t given an explanation, I called the office several times with no answer, I left voicemails with no returned calls. So I went to the “office” which was actually another apartment building that I could not get into. So I emailed Justin, who is NOT the landlord but the property manager, remind you, I’ve been renting through Hofman for over a year and NEVER met the actual landlord, I don’t know what he looks like let alone sound like! Anyways, Justin finally responded to my email and said, that in my “file” which I NEVER knew existed, were “several” noise complaints from neighbors, something that was NEVER brought to my attention before this email between Justin & I. Also complaints of me leaving my “trash bags” in the hallway, which is true because when I clean out my apartment, I set the bag in the hallway (tied securely ) until I leave out for the day, but so does my neighbor next door to me! When I explained that to Justin about the trash bag, and asked him why was I never informed about these “alleged” complaints, he just brushed me off and said it didn’t matter because the “landlord” would not reverse his decision! I’ve paid my rent ON TIME EVERY MONTH since I’ve lived in this apartment! It’s the middle of winter and they’re asking me to leave. When I asked Justin If I could speak to the actual landlord, he stopped responding to my emails. Now I know the “landlord” is going to comment and try to justify all of this, but I can careless, because you should’ve been reached out! You guys are unprofessional, and lack integrity! The only good think I have to say about Hofman Properties, is every time I had a maintenance issue, they came out right away to take care if it! And that I appreciate.
