Hammock Oaks Apartments

We really love living here even if the location isn't ideal for us. Most of the other tenants seem pleasant, the maintenance is amazing, and the property is taken care of. I've had gripes with the old office staff, but the new staff has been stellar so I've changed my review to 5 stars.

If you like hearing every step the neighbors above you take, ever door close within the 100 apartments near. You chose. Do you love ever changinging managment increase in rent and staff that dosent speak english untimely repairs dirty carpets no parking spaces and construct deals this is the place for you!

This community and management is a breath of fresh air compared to where I previously lived in Mt. Dora. The current management staff is very friendly and accommodating. I have had very little maintenance needs since moving in August of 2020. The maintenance team is quick to respond and so far have been able to resolve any issues I’ve had. It’s pretty simple to live happy and peaceful here, just pay your rent on time and be a decent neighbor. All apartment complexes have to adjust rent yearly to accommodate for national rent changes and yes sometimes the compactor gets backed up..but again, that is ALL communities and management/maintenance here are quick to fix it and are flexible to work with you. Good luck to anyone that wants to find a cheaper complex to rent in this area...remember you get what you pay for! The fitness center and pool were closed or at limited capacity/hours during COVID and if you can’t appreciate the precautions management took for everyone’s health and safety (which followed CDC guidelines btw), then that’s on you. Recently, all building were soft/pressure washed, they are initiating filter Friday for new AC filters, and they are trying to build a sense of community with small events and activities, which I highly appreciate. I see some negative reviews, and some could be valid, but you can’t blame management for every inconvenience that you experience, especially when the majority of the times it’s your fault or something management has no control over...and quite honestly having worked many years for an HOA, Arlington Properties and the staff here are doing a pretty good job. 5/5 would recommend this community and kudos to the staff for putting up with any difficult people that live here; keep doing what you’re doing. That’s all.
