Tavares Police Department

I am a NASA engineer from Virginia and am currently in the Tavares area....I had the opportunity to meet with Tavares and Lakeland county police recently.... I found the officers to be courteous, kind and attentive to the situation at hand..... People need to understand that law enforcement is a very dangerous profession.... traffic stops, domestics, etc...they have to be ready for the worst...any first responder should be trained for the worse case scenario....moreover, they are human beings like anyone else with ups and downs... but they have to put their lives and feelings on hold for each shift they are dealing with yours.....work with and respect them and they will work and respect you....good work guys...stay safe

Wasn't treated with respect nor dignity. Also officer involved seemed to take sides of the person who lunged at me when I was trying to defend myself. I sincerely believe that it was not fairly taken into consideration
