Bait and switch pricing! Charged a cleaning fee 10 weeks after rental. We cleaned the home everyday like it was our own. We removed all items and garbage prior to our departure and took the garbage cans to the curb as prescribed. Called for explanation. Emailed for explanation. No reply. Rent from anyone else. AirBnB is more affordable with many listings in the area. My friend Sean had the same poor experience with his group. Once is chance. Twice is coincidence. Three times is a pattern. Take my advice and do not let yourself become number three. Enjoy your summer!

Keefe Real Estate represents some shady Landlords in Lake Geneva. Keefe represented a Landlord for a condo in Geneva National for James Galbavy at 1597 Woodland Drive. The leasing agent was Stacey Schultz. When we moved out after 18 months the Landlord deducted for several bogus charges from our deposit. These ranged from an inspection fee to carpet cleaning as well as damage that had been recorded on move-in. None of which were outlined in the lease and according to Wisconsin Rental Law are illegal deductions. Needless to say, we were shocked by this outright theft of over $400 of our money. We sent certified letters to the Landlord demanding an explanation and/or repayment. James Galbavy dodged the letter and wouldn’t claim the letter from the post office. We assume he knew it was coming! Be careful signing a Keefe Real Estate Rental Lease. Keefe claims no responsibility for this bad behavior even though it is their lease and their representation. We are now pursuing a legal suit. We don’t care if it costs more than we get. James Galbavy needs to be held responsible so it won’t happen to someone else.

People were nice enough, but they charge your credit card for all sorts of fees months after the rental. It does not matter if you leave the rental home immaculate or not. They will bilk you. Unscrupulous does not begin to describe this company. AirBnB, HomeAway/VRBO from now on as long as it's not linked to Keefe. If you see their name just keep on scrolling or plan on paying an extra few hundred dollars over the quote.nnRegarding the Keefe reply: I was a part of a group who rented a home that is why my name is not associated with an internal search. None of us will be renting thru this company again. We just rented a beautiful home on Lake Geneva via AirBnB. More affordable rental price with lower fees. This was a similar size home with similar amenities, but it was on the lake. Better pricing and better views/access to the lake.
