Quiet Comfort Cabins

My wife and I rented the Northern Comfort 2 one room place above the larger Northern Comfort 1. It was fantastic for two people. The group below us had 6 people and we couldn't hear them in our unit. The owners are wonderful and very responsive. Great experience, good fishing and beautiful scenery.

I’m torn between three and four stars.nAfter canceling our summer vacation out of state due to Covid, we booked here. I searched every picture I could find worried about cabin location, how close we’d be to neighbors, ectnAs soon as we pulled up I was unhappy. We were about 8 feet from a large group of people staying in between cabins, in an older house. Not seen from any pictures I had searched.nWe had a boat, they had a boat and they were spread out everywhere, even though we shared a driveway, they kept their stuff all over. On several occasions we had to tell them we wanted to leave so they’d pick up their stuff.nFinally getting into the cabins. They were no frills and pretty much everything we expected. The window AC didn’t really reach all the bedrooms so they were hot. The toilet seat was extremely low, not a big deal for most but for me, with double hip replacements it was miserable.nBeing right on the lake was great. Loved the dock and the view... until those cabin neighbors blew up two huge inflatables. So our beautiful lake view was now a view of a chicken and a flamingo. So frustrating especially because no one used them. One cabin neighbor was actually so annoyed he went into the water and move them. That was a mood killer for sure. This is why I wanted to be far away from neighbors and these cabins are much closer than we anticipated, another cabin visitor shared our surprise. Overall the trip was okay but again, being so close really ruined our trip. I mean during our evening fire pit, we got to listen to those awesome neighbors urinating in the water. Certainly not the vacation we had in mind.nOne thing that really bothered us- they ask you to strip the sheets upon check out, and leave the sheets on the kitchen table. That is disgusting and we did not participate in that. That’s a policy that needs changed ASAP.nI will say the owners were very nice and a pleasure to deal with.

I really wanted to go here but they dont take credit cards, so I did not reserve.

We spend a week here every year. Awesome place for a family!!!!
