I expected a more interactive experience at a “petting zoo.” Most the time I was throwing food in fences, hoping they wouldn’t hit the fence and bounce back, to feed the animals. Most petting zoos let you in the fenced in areas with the goats and llamas. This one doesn’t. You can only feed them though a fence which probably isn’t comfortable for the animals who also fight over the food sometimes. I also thought some of the cages they were in were too small. Some were pacing back and forth which is a sign of stress from having a small cage. The lion one had a door which led to a bigger cage but the door was closed and idk why. Same with the rabbits. The place needs better signage because I didn’t know what some of the animals were. I also got my wrist rammed into by a Jacob’s sheep while trying to feed and pet it. There wasn’t any signage saying I couldn’t do it plus the fence holes are big enough to do that. Just be careful! It’s a small zoo but the tickets and animal food are a great price. Get the large one so you can feed the monkeys who take it out of your hand if you can reach far enough!

We absolutely love this little zoo! Where else can you see chickens, goats, lions, tigers, & bears next to one another!?! There are many other animals to see as well. Take your time, bring sunscreen, bug repellent (lots of biting flies), and go on a day that's not too hot...there's limited shade. There are port-a-potties, sinks for hand washing, drinks and snacks for sale, and a picnic area if you bring your own goodies. What I have seen is that the employees really do care about the animals and are happy to answer questions. You could easily make this a two hour outing with little ones, there's a small playground & pony rides! Older kids this is a good hour outing. Have fun and buy a bucket of feed!

Family environment, loved animals, and personalized care for all. The staff remembers kids, organized events and we loved the movie night ud83cudf19. They bring out different animals and share them with everyone. Just a gem of a place!

It was fun! Last week we went to a bigger city zoo and I still preferred this place to that zoo.nnWe had a closer interaction with the animals and even got to feed some!nnPony rides, photo-ops, and cute animals.nnMy son really loved this place and I got to enjoy it just as much.
