Yeah maybe on Google it looks like I'm a Fish Fry Newbie but I have had fish fry many many times. Especially when my father in law is a avid fisherman and fries fish daily. I have lived my entire life in Milwaukee and yes I never been to Nearby West Allis Fish Market. Let me tell you that I have been missing out! I know I know like 30 if you are like, You have never been there? You think they are good? Well nope I have never been there and Yes I think they are GREAT! You can go ahead and have your beer battered cod, your fried the same way restaurants and all you can eats but this West Allis fish fry is something to write home about. I think (don't know for sure) they use a corn meal batter to fry and it is delicious! The portion is like a 2X2 inch and 1 inch thick piece of fish that is fried perfectly flakey! The fish literally melts in your mouth! The crust has a slight crunch but perfectly fried without being greasy. You can get Cod, blue gill and other fish. Everything is fried before your face so you can drool all over the counter waiting. The atmosphere is old school walk in and walk out diner. I love the classic look. They have a variety seafood that can be purchased and ordered. Fish fry is by plate or pound and take out only. They are open only on Fridays for fish fry. Go and try you will see how delicious it is!
