Sticky rice offers a cheap option for Thai / Lao food. We had the Pad Thai, Red Curry, Pad Kee Mao, veg egg rolls, and Khao Jee.nnThe veg egg rolls were the best of the bunch by being decent and I enjoyed their take on the sauce. Everything else was boring, even at medium spiciness. The Pad Thai had almost no sauce, just tasted like noodles and light peanut with a few veggies. The curry was simple, coconut being the brightest flavor. I didn't taste the Pad Kee Mao, but it looked similar to the rest (through the person eating it said it was great). The Khao Jee (grilled rice with egg) was very oil heavy. However, if they went much lighter on the oil I would actually prefer to use that as my rice to go with curry to mix it up a bit.nnOverall I highly recommend EE-Sane and Mekong Cafe over Sticky Rice for Thai / Lao food. While these other restaurants charge $2-$3 more per dish it really shows with much better flavor and ingredients.nnThey also forgot my coconut water (and I forgot to check), but missed drinks plague all restaurants with to-go orders.

Update: have repeatedly forgotten ingredients in my order and Portion size has decreased significantly so much that I started weighing my orders. They used to be around 750 grams sometimes surpassing 800g but the last 4 orders haven’t even hit 500grams. Quality has decreased. Portions have decreased. Price has slightly increased.nnI have been there 5 times now and my food has been amazing every time. I’m new to Thai/ Lao food so far from an expert but can tell you the Drunken noodles and the curry fried rice are delicious. Also have had the Thai basil rice Was equally amazing. Egg rolls were quality. The waiting area and what is visible of kitchen have been clean every time staff has been friendly. Way better than the last business in that building. The food is very spicy, I love it but could see how people could be turned off. Medium has got more kick than expected even the mild was not much different from the medium. No spice is an option if that’s not your thing.

We were very excited to finally try Sticky Rice after hearing so many good things ever since they opened. The food did not disappoint. Everything was ready 20 minutes after we called and it was obviously fresh and made with care. Definitely recommend the Pad Kee Mao, can’t wait to make my way through the menu. Very happy to have this new addition to the neighborhood.

Just enjoyed for the first time, and will certainly be a repeat customer!nnI'm thrilled that this exists in riverwest and serves relatively late. Food had good sized portions and I enjoyed the taste. For cost, location, and convenience I couldn't ask for much more :)

We had the pad Thai and the green curry. Both were really good. Asked for medium heat on both, with the curry ending up hotter (in a good way) than the pad Thai. Portions were just right. Quick and easy.
