Semi self-guided tour with a docent on the first level. Materials posted to read throughout the lighthouse. Certainly an interesting visit. Can complete tour in 10 to 20 minutes or less. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, however, it's not for everyone hence the lower rating. Lovely spiral cast iron staircase to the top of the lighthouse. The history of the home was quite interesting if you take the time to read the materials. The interior was surprisingly bright and airy. The first and second floors were accessible and one could walk to the top but could not go outside. Beautiful views of the surrounding area from the interior of the home. The lighthouse itself sits on a lovely plot in Peninsula State Park. There is an additional charge to tour the interior of the lighthouse. At the time of our visit masks were required.

Loved it, this is our first trip to Door County specifically to look at lighthouses. This one is great! Nestled in a beautiful state park it has outstanding views of the bay, coupled with the knowledgeable docents makes it a must see day trip!

Small and beautiful! A little history to read, but there's so much to venture beyond the lighthouse. Just a gorgeous and peaceful place to be. Right on the coast of Lake Michigan. I'd love to check it out in the fall sometime.

We had a nice time, the state park was beautiful, so many colors and perfect for pictures. We will definitely visit again.

Great lighthouse, definitely in the top ten of Door County. The cost to walk up it was a but too steep for me, $5. I felt like I saw all I needed from the outside.nIt is great that you can drive all the way up to and park in the lot by the lighthouse, but it sucks that so can everyone else. When we visited, there were hordes of shrieking kids making it hard to peacefully enjoy the scene.nGiven the lighthouses perch upon the bluff, there was a great view of the bay. I would definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area.
