Arroyo Elementary School

I give this school five stars I don't think this school gets enough credit, I had two children that attended this school, 2 years ago unfortunately they could not attend again because we moved and they now go to a PV school district...my kids absolutely loved this school a lot!!!and always wanted me to volunteer to come in class with them , I just have to say they are very creative in how kids learn and my sons 1st grade teacher even wanted to be his second grade teacher now I have to give credit too that, who does that?? And I had to end up telling her we were moving I think it even broke her heart but I love even how humble and understanding the teachers are they are amazing I promise:)

The teachers are phenomenal just beyond compare!!! You can't find better instructors here. Especially with the special Ed Dept. I've never encountered people so dedicated to helping your kid thrive and Excel. And that's exactly the experience and education my son received. A special shout out to Ms. Bappe, you'll never meet a more unique, driven, and there for your child kind of teacher. I can't even list the number of times she went so far beyond the normal call of duty and compassion for my son but she was there for me as well. I wish my son could've had her for at least another year. Now with that said........ The front office staff are the complete opposite. It's unreal how uncooperative they are for so many things. They are friendly to your face but if you have an outside source requesting required documentation, with the signed release from you, they will not comply no matter how many times the request is sent. Last year when my son was in the hospital there was a form for his attendance to show he was out for medical reason, mind you his teacher was still sending assignments and checking on him, they repeatedly ignored the form because of a check box they added to the standard form. So they sent truancy after me. This year my son's new school (we moved out of town) is requesting is school papers including the withdrawal form and his iep (because the school won't give it to you at the end of the year like literally every other school. Claiming the new school can send a request) still after a month of repeatedly sending the request with my release signature. It's radio silence from them. Forcing my son to miss school because they can't enroll him without the forms from the old school. Can anyone explain why they wouldn't give me his withdrawal papers at the end of last school year knowing full well we were leaving town?

I loved this school while growing up. They always had tons of activities to get the families involved.
