This historical society is a hidden gem. Esther and other members have restored this former church including the pine flooring cut from local timber. Their displays are well done and very interesting. My sisters and I were doing a Bowen genealogy tour of this area of Vermont which the Bowen’s inhabited in the 1700 and 1800s.nnThey have even purchased another abandoned church just up the street and she graciously showed us this church also. It looked like the parishioners walked out yesterday with two huge wood stoves ready to heat the church again.
