FUN....WARMTH...CONNECTIONS...CHARM!!!!!!!!We have stayed here multiple times and keep coming back! This charming farmhouse from 1828 is the quintessential Vermont experience. The former barn connected to the house is now a warm and cozy great room with a huge stone fireplace and an upstairs ski lodge that is warm and rustic. We have fit 10 people up there alone. The farmhouse is elegantly charming with a cozy kitchen ,Wolf stove, huge dining room , lovely antiques including canopy bed , cozy upstairs rooms and charming living room. Peg and Matt are great hosts and have been wonderful to deal with. They are very accommodating. All beds are made up with fresh linens and there are plenty of fresh towels and blankets! When we are here we enjoy being together with big festive meals and gatherings by the fireplace after a day skiing, hiking or visiting quaint nearby towns. Vermont memories made in this cozy house will be with me always. Walking by the river Is lovely .The mountains bring a sense of peace, the house a sense of comfort and fun. I have greatly enjoyed a summer stay here as well. Beautiful in winter and summer, it is an absolutely charming house which our family loves.

Vermont’s 1828 reunion house is truly the place where memories are made! Spend you day enjoying the wonderful winter weather and come back to the warmth of the fireplace and a hot cup of tea. The house somehow manages to have the cozy feeling of a small cabin but with room for whole family and then some. The bedrooms are equipped with a mix of antique and handmade furniture with beautiful wood finishes. Every piece in the home seems to have an interesting story behind it which the owners are happy to tell. Staying at the 1828 Reunion house is a wonderful experience I look forward to every year.

The perfect cozy Vermont house only 15 minutes to Okemo mountain! This place is spacious enough for a large group while still feeling like a secluded winter cabin. The hosts are wonderful and helped provide recommendations for spas, hiking trails, and other activities for everyone to take advantage of the beautiful location and cute towns. For skiers and snowboarders, you can't beat the location. We hope to be back soon!

Upon arrival we built a fire in the large lodge fireplace with the logs left conveniently out of the weather on the porch and beside the hearth. Copious amount of stacked dry wood was waiting in the barn to replenish the supply and keep our quarters toasty. The large gas stove in the well outfitted kitchen created a warm, welcoming gathering place while dinner was prepared and sitting as a group of seventeen around the long wooden dining room table was lots of fun. The country road bordering the grounds followed a mountain stream and made for a beautiful walk. 1828 Reunion House was a short drive to all the activities in Ludlow and nicely situated to experience all that the area has to offer. We have been here several times and have enjoyed each visit with plans to return again soon.

My husband and I wanted to spend some time in VT hiking and enjoying the fall foliage. Vermont 1828 House was the perfect place to do that! Wonderful ambience, so comfortable and relaxing we didn’t want to leave! Such a lovely house! There were plenty of hiking trails and quaint towns to explore all nearby! We definitely plan to stay there again and highly recommend! ud83dudc4d
