Vermont Historical Society Museum

This museum had been around since the building was rebuilt in the 1970's.nA great small Vermont themed museum. A must see if you live in the Montpelier area or visiting from out of the region.nThoughtful and enjoyable exhibits.nTake your whole family, they are kid friendly.nMany exhibits that you may find in a larger museum.

I had some time to kill, this was a great value as I took my time to read the information. Great information for any new or lifelong Vermonter.

Great place to gather with family and friends.

Thoughtful and interesting historical displays. Lots of historical artifacts arranged in relevant groups to illustrate Vermont's rich heritage: colonial settlers, land disputes between Grant's and Yorkers, native American heritage, wars, industrialization, railroads, everyday life and art... and much more. Wish we left enough time to visit more than just the first floor.
