I can't say enough about how worthwhile this was. Fascinating, relevant history. Well displayed over four floors--each room chock full of history and opportunities to learn. A knowledgeable and lively docent who took obvious pleasure in framing Alexander Twilight's life in it's amazing context. We will be back!
Pretty neat. It was closed but I was able to walk around and get some pictures.
I've lived in the NEK for most of my life but I have never spent any time in Brownington or visited the Old Stone House Museum. It was a beautiful location! I spent the morning with a friend just walking around the grounds and snapping pictures. We will be back when restrictions have lifted and we can get a full tour!
Important history of black leadership in education from early 1800s, but buildings closed because of covid.
