Worst place I have ever lived! I do not ever recommend living in any property that Rick Bove owns. I live at the Whittier apartment complex in Essex junction. Unsanitary washing machines. 3 in one room, but only 1 works. 4 working driers that aren’t usable due to the dirt, grime and lint stuck in them. Hallways constantly smelling of cigarettes. I’ve experienced THREE THEFTS since living here 7 1/2 months, and the owner has not helped one bit. Unwilling to provide property management with necessary details to helping tenants. We have needed multiple things in our apartment the whole time we have been here, and other than property management doing their best- we are still in need of all the items and repairs we have needed since day 1. Side walk exiting the building not shoveled or maintained. Dumpsters always overflowing and trash/recycling every where. 1 Emergency exit does not sound when alarmed and is left unlocked at all times. Exit door from the stairs left open in winter weather due to no maintenance kept up in front of the door. People parked in handicap spots that do not have handicap placards. We were told we were moving into a locked building with 24/7 surveillance. This was the worst lie of them all!! Trying to contact them is a nightmare in itself. Very unhappy. Do not ever use Bove brothers realty.

They withheld my security deposit in July, I filed a small claims for my security deposit and won with the Vermont Superior Court. Rick Bove was ordered to return my Security Deposit in the begining of January 2020 and has still refused to pay. This is a criminal company, renters please beware! If you do lease at one of the properties make sure you take lots of photos when you move out and do not allow them to withhold money for normal wear and tear, that is illegal. If they have wrongfully withheld your deposit, file with the Better Business Bureau so that they are thoroughly investigated.

My mother in law has had a leak in her kitchen for 6 months. no one cares that there is probably mold there. She has been sick coughing for weeks. Very poor management. Very poor everything. Elevator is broke more times in a month. She's 85 and can't climb stairs. Stay away from these people. I wouldn't give them them one star. River meadows in wilder vt
