Colchester Police Department

Due to several mid-steps on my part, my grandchildren believed someone had broken into their home yesterday, when I dropped by unannounced, for a swim in their pool. Four teens in an upstairs guest room, AC & music blaring, didn’t hear me when I entered & announced my presence. One panic moment led to another when they heard noises downstairs & 911 was called.nI wish to thank the professional, kind & understanding dispatcher & police officers who sorted things out. I feel very grateful & very foolish at the same time. When this heatwave ends, maybe I’ll regain full brain function. My apologies to all those I upset.nGail Lynch Dugan

I got pulled over for running over a spoiled rich white kid and them dare officers came up to my car and saw that I was black and ripped me right out of the car and I put my hands up and yelled hands up don't shoot I got a kid in the car them dare officers ripped my black child out of the car then my kid as I had told him to put his hands up to and yelled hands up don't shoot and then those dare officers got in there car and grabbed the AR out of the gun lock and walked to us again and grabbed the tazer from the holster and tazed my son and he screamed so loud my ears blead then as my son was wiggling around they aimed there AR's at my son and both shot my son at the same it was very tragic and i'm still crying to this day I know that cops shoot black people but not my black son.

Grateful we have such excellent law enforcement in Colchester! Thank you!
