I stopped to get some water cuz I lost my water bottle on the bike trail. They don't take cards. I was $0.25 short on a bottle of water, but she gave it to me anyway. The owner was so sweet! I'm going to go back and give her a quarter just so I can talk to her again.
Sweet piece of real Vermont.
Really sweet place. A neat discovery after a short walk on the bike path. I went down the side path to see if I could access the beach from a public entry point and found Charlie's Boathouse. Purchased a soda, and after a short chat with Charlie, I stayed to draw on the beach. Indeed, they are super friendly! I remained for an hour on the beach in relative peace and quiet. I hope to return and rent a kayak.
This is a Great Place to stop and get a drink,a snack,rent a boat I think it is $10.00 for 1 hr not 100%.The family have been around for along time.
On our way back from a bike ride, we stopped to get an ice cream and candy bar. As always, we enjoyed talking to Charlie, he's very interesting and appreciates the business.
