This is one of the oldest spots in the US. Nearby, William Penn and co landed. This is one of the earliest settlements in the Americas. It makes sense to explore and learn more about this chapter of history while you're there. Make sure to visit offices of the Historical Society and ask for some additional information and resources. You could also talk to them about organizing tours. They'll have some great stuff for you which you otherwise would not have gotten to learn about!

First time going to this place, and it's such a beautiful little quaint place to go! If you enough history as much as I do, this is a perfect place to go. With events all year round, even haunted if you're into that, this place is a great time even for the day!

We did the haunted walking tour of Old New Castle. It was fun and interesting.

The Historical society maintains a quaint little cottage and gardens, called the Dutch House and Gardens. Fruiting trees and vegetables surround a nice little lawn. There's a bench surrounded with fragrant jasmine. Through the wooden fence gate is the lovely and educational Native Plant Garden maintained by the Arasapha Garden Club. There is a nice bench here as well.

Beautiful place for an event! I never knew New Castle had such a quaint historic district.
