This station has shiny cameras watching patrons! This station has paid security guards in little enclosed shelters during nearly all operating hours! This station could easily afford restrooms! If you're going to spy on us and have security guards, can't you give us a toilet while we wait for our delayed trains?!
I visited this station many times.nnQuite happy with the availability at parking lot.nnThere are only 2 platforms (one platform to Philadelphia and other platform is from Philadelphia).nnThere is no place to sit or there is no shelter. This is hard true.nnAnother strange and awful thing is that....nwhenever train reaches this station from Philadelphia, the train stops slant. For first timers here, it is hard to get down even.
It is great that this place has free parking and lots of spots, but that station could be upgraded to have signage or digital boards.
Tons of FREE PARKING HERE and even though it's Zone 4, most morons from DE still insist on driving out of their way to Marcus Hook station where parking is 20 bux and full by 6:30 in the morning! (Thanks to all of the Delaware license plates!) You aren't saving any money by doing that geniuses! The extra gas, time and traffic more than make up for the Zone 3 / Zone 4 cost difference! So we have people that actually live NEAR the station that cannot use it! I wouldn't be surprised if some PA people actually drove backwards to Claymont because of this! It's like playing musical train stations and a battle of IQ levels.nEdit: confirmed.. some people from PA are forced to backtrack to this station to get into Philly.. saw it with my own 2 eyes when I dropped off co-workers here when SEPTA cancelled all the trains without notice as usual. Thanks idiots for taking up all of the Marcus Hook parking at your own detriment.
Big parking lot, no place to sit, no cover and the train is always late.
