When I called they were extremely helpful and told me they could take care of my leaking water heater same day between 12-4. They called at 2:45 and said they would be getting here closer to 4, which was fine. Then I called back at 6, and they assured me someone would be coming out. I called again several hours later and they still had zero idea of timing saying there was only one person working who could deal with a gas hot water heater (?). They said I could keep waiting or go for 10-2 the next morning, which I opted to take because it was starting to get late. Dispatch was pleasant and assured me I would get a “priority” appointment. 10-12 comes and goes, and I just found someone else to come and canceled roto rooter who acted like they hadn’t even kept me waiting for 24 hours at that point. I’m a patient person but not that patient. Never again and would never ever recommend them. If you can’t meet emergency appointments at least be upfront and give your customers a chance to schedule with someone else.
They charged almost $500 to snake an easily accessible drain and were 2 hours late. They said that’s their flat rate for snaking a drain. Ridiculous.
It was about 10 PM on a Sunday night and everything started back up into our house. My husband immediately shut the water off to the house. I called Roto Rooter they were at our house within an hour. The gentleman that came out was polite and professional. I thought the charge was very reasonable too!! I will definitely call again if I need them.
Tom was very professional and courteous did an awesome job. Also the dispatchers were great with communication and courteous as well. Only reason for not 5 star is that price was a little steep but they did let me use a coupon which helped. I would recommend.
I would give negative stars if I could! First thing is I asked to please call when they were on heading to the job which was my 89 year old father’s house so I could be there. I never received a phone call from Rotorooter but I did receive a call from my Dad that the plumber was there and he determined that the pipe was collapsed and need to be replaced. He said 17.5’ of pipe had to be replaced at a cost of $6000.00. By my calculations that’s $342.85 a foot! So I decided to dig it up myself and found the pipe was was not collapsed and was fine and clean. Also my Dad was charged $420 for a service call! Please stay away from these crooks and call a local plumber. Also I will be calling The Better Business Bureau.
