I enjoy the amenities at Liberty Square and the convenience of the location to 95 and Newark. I've never had issues with my living space or the complex management and, overall, it's a pretty quiet place to live and I would recommend.

Signed the lease for an upgraded apt, went to clean the apt and found roaches, dead flies and other bugs! They will not refund your security deposit! Ladies in the office are professional and friendly but the property itself is awful. Old and rundown. I wouldn’t suggest moving here!! Rent at your own risk!

Let me preface this by introducing myself as a working college student. My budget is not necessarily the highest, but I will proudly say that I do enjoy living here after only a couple of months. This complex may not be for everyone, and with all things considered, I'll be detailing my experience in hopes you can make an informed decision about your next home.nnMoving in went as smoothly as it could have. The office stayed in touch with me, and we coordinated for me to pick up my keys around 10am on move-in day. It went just as expected.nnMy apartment unit itself is freshly renovated. There was a bit of flaked drywall in my bedroom carpeting and the dishwasher cannot open fully due to the heater's placement beside it - but these things are very minor to me, and it is my fault for not staying on top of contacting maintenance to come fix things. My new appliances work beautifully. I have not had an issue with any of them, besides my washer and dryer.nnI was told I am one of only few units with my own washer/dryer. You most likely will NOT have this issue, as the buildings have laundry rooms. Not sure what those are like, though.nnMy issue here is that they were stacked on top of one another, and my W/D units were not designed to be stacked. Upon running my spin cycle for the first time the dryer fell off of my washing machine. This was not so fun. However my dad was able to help me get them upright and next to each other. I called maintenance about this, and unfortunately my call was not returned. It's been weeks now and I'm not concerned anymore (I haven't had an issue with them) but honestly, this is probably the biggest reason I am not giving 5 stars. I do believe the complex is learning how to implement W/D into units properly and it was just a one-time mishap.nnThere was only one occasion I did not have hot water. I called, and within 10 minutes my hot water was working again.nnOn another day, there was a storm, and my window blew in. Yeah, also not so fun. However maintenance promptly came out within 10 minutes and helped me get my windows fixed and locked. I was very pleased with this (The windows are very old, and mine specifically were not locked in properly - I don't think you will have this issue).nnNow in terms of bugs - I have never seen a single bug besides for a fly that my cat took care of for me. This is a case-by-case basis, though, and I am sorry to hear about those who are experiencing a bug problem. I have not yet lived here for the winter months, but I will write an updated review once I have experienced colder weather here.nnIn terms of safety, each building has a door with tenants' unique codes (they provide a key too). 90% of the time I have been here, my building door is shut and locked. The other 10% is when it is purposefully open due to construction. The keypad just recently stopped working (Just my building lol) but the office did send out a notice and I assume it will be fixed shortly. Again, not a major concern of mine.nnI take my safety seriously and have never once been worried about my safety or that of my cat. My neighbors are friendly and polite, my building is quiet (Everything from the hallway can be heard. That's it). I've never had a package stolen, never had my car tampered with. It's very unfortunate that this has happened to some, and I've only been here for a short time, but I plan on updating in a few months.nnYou may think this seems like a lot to deal with in a short time. If that is the case, you could reconsider. I personally do not mind what I've dealt with thus far - I'm an easy-going person. I care more about my safety and my cat's safety. My major issues have been fixed promptly. That is not to say that I do not have high standards for my living situation despite my budget, and I am very pleased to call my apartment here home. I look forward to the rest of my time here. This is my first place on my own, and I love it.nnI recommend for anyone who honors their budget, who values safety and simplicity, but does not mind dealing with minor issues.

I have really enjoyed living at Liberty Square. I meet the staff initally when I was first looking and the Lady who has showing me around was extremely kind and informative. I felt very comfortable initially. I have only had an issue or two and I needed the maintain help but the front staff was very helpful and made sure that it got handled in a timely manner! I hope everyone has a great experience like I did.

The apartment had roaches when we moved in, and management from two different companies never fixed the problem, we had a pipe leak in the apartment that was never fixed. Then we moved out we were told that with damage from those issues plus many more I would get my whole deposit back as they were going to renovate the apartment anyway. Never received a check then was told we would not get the deposit back. Do not not rent from them if you do not want to live in a slum.
