It is a good place to visit when you're limited on time. A lot of interesting history associated with it, but it is confined to the main floor so it doesn't take more than an hour. Appointments are requested.
Very interesting and quaint. Given history of who visited house and 3 surrounding rivers. So glad to have such wonderful Historic sites in Delaware.
Enjoyed a wonderful history lecture in an 18th century home associated with the American Revolutionary War. The lecture was part of a series of programs offered at the site located on White Clay Creek.
Had to re-post my review...must have been a technical mistake that it said I rated this one star. This place is a gem.
George Washington Stayed here during the winter of the revolution it is also the birthplace of my grandmother and last private owner of hale byrnes house it is truly a treasure and I encourage everybody to go the amount of antiquities they have is phenomenal
