Biggs Museum of American Art

The nearby city of Dover is home to the Biggs Museum of American Art, which features many artworks by American artists. As you browse the museum and its different exhibits, you will see a range of styles and genres reflecting periods dating back to the 18th century. Each piece has its own story that allows visitors of all ages to learn about art and how it shaped American culture.

An absolute gem of a museum in the heart of Dover. I became a member shortly after moving to the Dover area and am extremely pleased by the first class presentations at this modestly sized museum. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and I am amazed at the range of exhibits that they put on throughout the year. I particularly enjoy the exhibitions with local artists.

Nice little local museum. Sometimes they have really interesting rotating exhibits too. The first Saturday of the month is always free too, which is nice.

I had never heard of this place, but when my colleague suggested, I had to gonMy husband and I took a Saturday to wander around a couple of museums in Dover. By far, the Biggs Museum was our favorite. There was an Audobon exhibit when we were there along with pagers from children's books. I intend to go back soon. The exhibits change often. I'm not sure of the entrance price as I got us a Groupon, but didn't need it. Pro tip: The first Saturday of every month is free
