Howard police are some of the most unprofessional, lazy, and rude individuals in law enforcement. I just notified an officer (and it's all on video) that a homeless person was deficating on school property . The officer told me it's not her jurisdiction and there was nothing she could do (all said with an attitude). When I take out my phone and start recording my interaction her attitude mysteriously changes for the better slightly and says she will look and pulls off in her car. (Mind you as I'm talking to her she was on her personal cellphone I'm sure not conducting official Howard U business.nnSo I walk back around the corner and the offuoff is parked down the street from where the deficating occurred. So I walk up to the officer and asked did she investigate. She said she did and the lady left and the lady was very nice. I said the lady didn't leave and she is still there. So the officer pulls off again. So I walk around another corner and the is now parked near the homeless last who left supposedly . The officer is still on her personal call.nnThe point of this is not to harass the homeless lady . The point was that Howard U police are a reflection of why the University has so many problems as they do. As a Howard alum it is embarrassing to see the University this way . Parents should really send their children elsewhere .

They took my concerns about violence seriously, but, not about the items which were stolen from me.
