I have always gotten amazing blowouts at Dry Bar in NYC and LA. This was the worst one I have ever received and worst experience at Dry Bar overall! Usually my hair blows out quick, smooth and beautiful! Here she kept burning my scalp and left me with frizzy hair after upselling me on a new smoothing serum guaranteed to last 3 days. Nadia the manager is extremely rude! Apparently this is permitted by her district manager Amy Pearson because all the locations in D.C. have less than 3 stars for good reason. Very disappointing to see how far this brand has gone downhill in D.C.!

My mom's first trip to DC for an awards ceremony was almost a disaster from the east coast humidity. We had about four hours 'til the ceremony and we walked in with her hair looking like a frizzball and walked out about 45 minutes later and her hair was sleek and straight the way she likes it.nnThe next morning it was actually raining when we got to the airport to head home and we didn't have our umbrellas out yet. Her hair stayed ramrod straight and flawless, even though it got rained on, and was just as perfect as it was the minute she walked out of the salon the day before.nnThanks, Drybar!

My wife has been there a few times and had a good experience but we had a big dinner in DC one night and she planned to get her hair done on the way. They called her 20 minutes before the appointment and told her the appointment was cancelled for now specified reason. We were already on the way so of course there was no time to reschedule anywhere else. They do good work but I wouldn't trust them for anything important. Try Blo instead for downtown DC.

I’ve been a loyal dry bar customer for years. I booked an appointment at this location three months ahead of time to have a blow out done for a wedding I amnIn. They called me two hours before the appointment to cancel my service because a stylist didn’t show up. Customer service didn’t offer any incentive or try to make up for putting me in this difficult situation. I will not be using this chain any longer.

My appointment was at 4:30 and they were delayed by over an hour. They didn’t call me or any of the people who were also similarly delayed. The front desk was incredibly unhelpful and kept misleading people who came in that the delay was only 15 minutes. They didn’t offer to schedule folks at other salons, offer discounts, or do anything to help.
